These Terms of Service apply to Obris products and services operated by OBRIS GROUP PTE. LTD. ("Obris", "we", "us" or "our"). By accessing or using an Obris service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Obris products or services, including Obris SecureOS, Obris VPN, Obris Chat, Obris Vault, Obris websites, account and entitlement services, or related infrastructure (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
The Services are operated by OBRIS GROUP PTE. LTD., a company incorporated in Singapore (UEN: 202602980R). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.
2. Obris Services
Obris provides security, privacy and communications products that may include:
- Obris SecureOS: a security focused mobile operating system and related activation and update services.
- Obris VPN: encrypted VPN connectivity using the WireGuard protocol.
- Obris Chat: encrypted messaging, voice and video communications.
- Obris Vault: encrypted storage, backup or related data protection features.
- Obris ID: an identifier used to access and link supported Obris services without requiring a traditional email or phone number account.
Features, supported devices, server locations, platforms and service availability may change as Obris develops its products. Current availability is shown on the relevant Obris product pages or within the applicable application.
3. Obris ID and Device Access
Supported Obris services may use an Obris ID instead of a conventional email based account. You are responsible for maintaining control of your Obris ID, linked devices and any credentials, recovery information or security keys used with your account.
Some Services may limit the number of linked or active devices. Obris may use device authentication, cryptographic keys, activation records and entitlement checks to enforce those limits and protect account access.
You must not share secret authentication material, private keys, recovery credentials or other security information in a way that could allow unauthorised access to your Services.
4. Subscriptions, Purchases and Billing
Some Obris Services require a paid subscription, licence or entitlement. Pricing, billing periods and included features are displayed before purchase.
- Payments may be processed through Google Play, the Apple App Store, Stripe or another payment provider made available by Obris.
- Obris does not need to store your full payment card details when a payment provider processes the transaction.
- Subscriptions may renew automatically where this is disclosed at the time of purchase.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription through the provider or purchase method used for that subscription.
- Cancellation normally prevents the next renewal and does not remove access already paid for during the current billing period.
- Refunds are handled in accordance with the applicable payment provider rules, these Terms and any rights that apply under law.
Certain Obris bundles may include access to more than one product. The entitlement associated with a bundle remains subject to the stated subscription period and any applicable device limits.
5. Privacy and Service Data
Our handling of personal information is described in the Obris Privacy Policy.
Obris is designed around data minimisation. We do not use browsing activity, private communication content or Obris service information to build advertising profiles.
Obris VPN does not use the contents of your VPN traffic for advertising, marketing or behavioural profiling. Like any VPN service, Obris infrastructure must process network packets while routing an active connection.
Obris Chat is designed to provide end-to-end encrypted communications. Limited technical metadata may still be processed where required to operate, deliver and secure the service.
6. Security
Obris uses technical and organisational measures intended to protect its Services, including encrypted network connections, cryptographic device authentication, access controls and hardened infrastructure.
Obris VPN uses WireGuard for encrypted VPN tunnels. No internet connected system can guarantee absolute security, and Obris does not represent its Services as unhackable or immune from every threat.
You are responsible for using appropriate device security, keeping software reasonably up to date and protecting credentials and recovery information under your control.
7. Acceptable Use
You must use the Services lawfully and must not use them to harm Obris, other users, third parties or infrastructure.
- Do not use the Services to conduct unlawful activity.
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems, networks or data.
- Do not interfere with, overload, disrupt or deliberately damage Obris infrastructure or another person's systems.
- Do not distribute malware, conduct attacks or use the Services to facilitate abusive automated activity.
- Do not attempt to bypass subscription, entitlement, device limit or authentication controls.
- Do not impersonate Obris or falsely represent an affiliation with Obris.
Obris may restrict, suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been materially breached, where required by law, or where action is necessary to protect users or infrastructure.
8. SecureOS and Device Changes
Installing or using Obris SecureOS may involve replacing the operating system on a supported device. Installation can erase data stored on the device. You are responsible for backing up information you wish to keep before installation, reset or other device operations.
SecureOS security features, including user separation, hardware key access, duress features or restricted environments, are intended to reduce particular risks. They do not guarantee protection against every physical, technical, legal or operational threat.
You should follow published installation and recovery instructions and should not rely on SecureOS as a substitute for appropriate operational security, backups or legal advice.
9. Third Party Services
The Services may depend on or interact with third party services such as Google Play, the Apple App Store, Stripe, cloud infrastructure providers, device manufacturers and network providers.
Third party services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. Obris is not responsible for third party services that are outside our control.
10. Intellectual Property and Open Source Software
Obris branding, trademarks, website content, proprietary software and other Obris owned materials are owned by or licensed to OBRIS GROUP PTE. LTD.
Some Obris products include or are built on open source software. Open source components remain subject to their applicable licences, and nothing in these Terms limits rights granted to you under those licences.
Except where permitted by an applicable open source licence, law or written permission from Obris, you may not copy, redistribute or use Obris proprietary materials in a way that infringes our intellectual property rights.
11. Service Availability and Changes
Obris may maintain, modify, replace, add or remove features, servers, supported devices or infrastructure as the Services develop.
We aim to provide reliable Services but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error free availability. Maintenance, outages, network conditions, third party failures, security incidents or events outside our reasonable control may temporarily affect access.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available." Obris does not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error free, suitable for every security requirement or effective against every possible threat.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, warranty, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OBRIS GROUP PTE. LTD. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
14. Changes to These Terms
OBRIS GROUP PTE. LTD. may update these Terms when our products, business, infrastructure or legal obligations change.
When these Terms are updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be changed. Material changes may also be communicated through an Obris product or website where appropriate.
Your continued use of the Services after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those Terms, except where applicable law requires another form of notice or consent.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles, except where mandatory laws in your jurisdiction apply.
Subject to any rights you have under applicable law, disputes relating to these Terms or the Services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
