Obris VPN does not log your browsing activity or DNS queries. Our policy is central to how we operate privacy is a fundamental right, not a feature.
1. What We Collect
- Obris ID: A random 15-character identifier generated locally on your device when you first tap Connect.
- Initial IP address: Recorded only at the time of your first connection, solely for fraud prevention as required by Singapore law.
- Device ID (ANDROID_ID): A unique identifier used for push notification targeting and account security. Sent securely to our backend during app initialization.
- Push Notification Token: A token enabling us to send service-related notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging. Stored on our servers and associated with your Obris ID.
- IP Address & Location: Detected in real-time via a third-party IP lookup service (ipinfo.io) when the app starts, to display your approximate device location. Not stored persistently beyond the session.
- App Version: Collected for compatibility and support purposes.
2. What We Do NOT Collect
We explicitly do not collect:
- Browsing activity or DNS queries
- Connection timestamps or session duration
- IP addresses assigned during VPN sessions
- Bandwidth usage per session
- Any data that could identify your online behaviour
3. Account Creation
No email address or personal information is required to use Obris VPN. When you first tap Connect, a random 26-character Obris ID is generated locally on your device and associated with your session. You are responsible for keeping this identifier safe.
4. Subscriptions and Billing
- Payments processed securely via Google Play Billing — we do not store card details on our servers.
- Your subscription is linked to your Obris ID, not personal information.
- Billing cycles: monthly (1 month), 6 months, or 12 months)
5. Data Security
We implement the following security measures to protect your data:
- AES-256 encryption for all VPN traffic
- WireGuard protocol with modern, audited cryptographic standards
- Encrypted storage for account credentials and identifiers
- Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google Play Billing: For subscription payments only see Google's privacy policy for their data handling.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): For delivering push notifications to your device.
- ipinfo.io: Used in real-time to detect your approximate IP-based location. No user data is stored by this service beyond what is required for the lookup.
- Aggregate analytics: Anonymized, non-identifying usage statistics only no tracking of individual users or sessions.
7. Cookies and Tracking
Obris VPN app does not use cookies or trackers within the application. Our website (obrisgroup.com) uses minimal functional cookies for site operation only no third-party tracking, advertising, or profiling cookies.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access and request deletion of your personal data. Given our minimal-collection model, there is limited data beyond your Obris ID and initial IP address.

9. Children's Privacy
Obris VPN is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. International Data Transfers
If you use Obris VPN outside Singapore, your data may be processed on servers in various countries to ensure service availability. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers per this policy and applicable law.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance. Significant changes will be communicated via the app or by email if applicable.
